Ground beef 1 pound
Onion, chopped 1
Green bell pepper, chopped 1
Condensed cream of mushroom soup 1 can (10.75 oz)
Condensed cream of celery soup 1 can (10.75 oz)
Milk 1 cup
Dried thyme 1 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon
Shredded cheddar cheese 4 cups
Potatoes, peeled and cubed 6 medium
Cream of potato soup 1 can (10.75 oz)
Instructions:
Prep the Meat:
Brown the ground beef, onion, and green pepper in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
Combine Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the browned meat mixture, cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, milk, thyme, black pepper, garlic powder, and 2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well.
Layer the Casserole:
In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, then half of the meat mixture.
Top with the remaining potatoes, then the remaining meat mixture.
Sprinkle the remaining 2 cups of shredded cheese over the top.
Bake:
Bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
