2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Creamy Parmesan Pasta
8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine, penne, or your choice)
2 tbsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
¾ cup (75 g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving
Salt and pepper, to taste
¼ cup reserved pasta cooking water
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
