How To Make Oven Baked Herbed Sausage Rolls:
Step 1: Prep & Mix: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine the sausage meat with parsley, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the herbs are evenly distributed.
Step 2: Assemble the Rolls: Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry in half lengthwise to create two long rectangles. Divide the sausage mixture in half and shape each portion into a long log, placing it along the center of each pastry rectangle.
Step 3: Seal & Cut: Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg, then fold the pastry over the sausage, pressing the edges to seal and form a roll. Cut each roll into six equal pieces.
Step 4: Bake: Place the pieces seam-side down in the prepared baking dish. Brush the tops of the rolls with the remaining beaten egg to ensure a golden finish. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the sausage is cooked through.
Step 5: Serve: Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving.
