Instructions
Place the eggs in a saucepan in a single layer.
Add enough water to cover the eggs by at least 1 inch.
(Optional) Add a pinch of salt.
Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
Once boiling, reduce the heat slightly and cook to your liking:
Soft-boiled: 5–6 min
Soft-boiled: 7–9 min
Hard-boiled: 10–12 min
Immediately remove the eggs and plunge them into a bowl of ice (or cold) water for 5 minutes to stop the cooking process.
